We work in the open. Papers, datasets, and code are released publicly as a matter of principle, not policy.
Deployment is the test
Research that does not reach the people it is designed for is incomplete. Every project has a deployment path.
Small team, serious work
We are early and intentionally small. You will have real ownership and direct impact — not a position in a hierarchy.

Research Scientist — Health AI
Full-time · Kathmandu or Remote
Lead research on clinical NLP, medical imaging, and community health AI systems. You will design experiments, run training pipelines, and collaborate with health system partners in the field.
Requirements
- ·PhD or equivalent research experience in ML, medical informatics, or a related field
- ·Track record of publication or deployed research in health, biomedical, or clinical AI
- ·Strong Python and PyTorch fundamentals
- ·Comfort working with messy, low-resource, real-world data
Preferred
- ·Experience in low-resource NLP or multilingual models
- ·Familiarity with federated learning or privacy-preserving ML
Research Engineer — Federated Systems
Full-time · Kathmandu or Remote
Build the infrastructure that makes our privacy-preserving research work in practice. This is not a pure research role — you will own the systems that run experiments at scale across distributed data sources.
Requirements
- ·3+ years of experience building ML infrastructure or distributed systems
- ·Deep familiarity with Python, Docker, and cloud deployment (AWS or Azure)
- ·Experience with federated learning frameworks (Flower, PySyft, or equivalent)
- ·Strong debugging instincts and ownership mentality
Preferred
- ·Experience with differential privacy libraries
- ·Contributions to open-source ML tooling
Research Intern — Economic Inclusion AI
Internship · 3–6 months · Remote-friendly
Work directly with the research team on NLP for local languages, credit scoring from alternative data, or voice-first AI interfaces. Interns at Aiventra own a defined project from start to finish.
Requirements
- ·Enrolled in or recently completed an MS or PhD in ML, NLP, or a related field
- ·Strong fundamentals in machine learning and Python
- ·Genuine interest in AI for financial inclusion or low-literacy interfaces
Preferred
- ·Prior work on Indic or Nepali language NLP
- ·Experience with conversational AI or speech systems
